Note: all of our participants must be 13-18 years old and in grades 6-12 at the start date of the exchange. They must also be native English or French speakers, while currently learning the other language.

Details on eligibility
To be eligible, you must be:

Going into grades 6-12

Be 13-18 years old at the start date of your exchange

A native English or French speaker, or residing in an anglophone or francophone country

Formally learning English as a native French speaker, or French as a native English speaker

This can include classes in school or outside of school, as well as self-study.

Once you fill out the form, we will review your information and determine whether you are an eligible candidate to participate in a virtual exchange. If accepted, we will pair you up with a partner corresponding with the foreign language you are trying to learn. We will also try to pair you with someone from a country you are interested in—for example, if you have always wanted to learn more about West Africa, we will pair you with someone from that region—although there are never guarantees.
